Cindy Williams plays two people Shirley and the other woman. Shirley dates a man separated from his wife and guess who plays her? The lovely Cindy. She's Blonde as the wife. I like that the rest acknowledged how much they look alike. Laverne finds it amusing. It's a pretty good episode.

Shirley dates a married man
LaverneandShirleysucks19 December 2021
The married man says he's "separated" from his wife so we're supposed to believe this is just fine with Shirley. He's also got an 8 year old kid to boot, and again Shirley is just fine with that too.
It seems really out of character for Shirley to accept this situation so easily. Laverne possibly, but not rigid Shirley who's always been set on her perfect dream to marry and have children....but not with someone else's husband and kid.
The wife is a dead ringer for Shirley because Cindy Williams is playing both parts and her limited acting range is revealed because the wife acts just like Shirley wearing a blond wig.
The whole thing is both unbelievable and far fetched and in the end the wife says she still loves her husband and Shirley is like "OK, you can have him back then". She doesn't even bother letting the guy know this either! She just says "I'm through with him and he's all yours!" Whatever. The downhill spiral continues.
