- Frank DeFazio: Listen, it's my whole life. I gotta talk about it. And, um, I'm alone a lot. And, it's about time. It's gonna be alright. So, what do ya think?
- Laverne DeFazio: Did I doze off and miss something?

- Laverne DeFazio: When's the wedding?
- Frank DeFazio: Saturday.
- Laverne DeFazio: Saturday? Why Saturday?
- Frank DeFazio: I booked the church a month ago, and I've been waiting for the right moment to ask Edna.
- Laverne DeFazio: Well, the right moment was a month ago. I mean, you gotta ask her, pop. You can't hold a surprise wedding.
- Frank DeFazio: Yeah, you're right. I'll slip a note under her door tonight.
- Frank DeFazio: Listen, you and I. I mean, man, woman, right? And, you got a place, and I got a place. That's a lot of places. So, uh, whatta ya goin to do with it?
- Edna Babish DeFazio: I understood you better on the can

Understand, and uh, then there's a lotta other words that go with it, but I don't know what they are. But I know at the end it's going to be only one thing, is I want to marry you, okay?
- Edna Babish DeFazio: Oh, Frank. Those are the prettiest words I never heard. And yes, I would like very much to be your wife.
- [pause while the audience applauds]
- Edna Babish DeFazio: I'll marry you tonight.
- Frank DeFazio: Na, na, na, na, na. Saturday. Tonight, we can pretend.
