This isn't a very good one, DARLING!

Wow...is this one a turkey! It's hard to imagine why but the folks who made "Lights Out" decided to make a musical episode...YES, a musical episode! And, not surprisingly, it's not very good. In fact, it's so bad that I recommend you download and watch it from archive.org--just so you can have a good laugh! Yep...it's THAT bad.

"Jasper" is named for the ghost of a long-dead relative--one that is very cranky and mischievous. And when the owners try to sell this place, they are scared to death that Jasper's antics will destroy the sale. And, it looks like they MIGHT be able to sell it to a supposedly famous actress, Miss Manning. However, from the minute Miss Manning appears on the screen, you can't help but laugh at her ridiculously over the top performance. She severely over-annunciates every line and it sounds 100% phony. To make it worse, she punctuates every sentence with the word 'Darling'--like Eva Gabor on crack! It's just awful--and gets only worse when the characters inexplicably break into song!! Yes, they sing! To make it even funnier, when the first song begins, Charlie sits down at the piano and the music begins BEFORE he can actually start playing the keys! And where does the background music come from anyway--is it 'ol Uncle Jasper?! Overall, this episode is 100% wretched--embarrassingly bad but perhaps so bad that some might want to watch it to see just how bad it could be! Don't say I didn't warn you.
