Paging Harold Robbins

'I think the salt air shrinks their brains.' It's like everyone on this ship has a secret! I need a secret! Let me work on obtaining a proper secret. We're getting shots of the spa here in season three. That's a fun location. One more cast member of Three's Company is here. I never liked Andy Griffith, but I love Three's Company. Don Knotts plays a grocer confused for a famous tv star. When Julie Newmar hits on him, he starts thinking it might be a good idea to go along with the ruse. (Look at how Newmar dwarfs Knotts.) Then Newmar starts to get jealous of all the attention he's getting. Actually, she's got a reason for trying to hook this particular famous star. No man wants this surprise! Elsewhere, you've got a couple reunited after 40 years. They get together and swap happy memories of World War 2. But there's a surprise waiting for her. Elsewhere elsewhere, Isaac is inspired to write a book, only he gets into trouble when he starts writing about his co-workers. His title is 'Pacific Passions.' He's even started smoking a pipe, like a proper author. 'I wonder if Harold Robbins has to put up with this sort of thing?' Julie wears an incredible pink dress. You have to love the staging of a two shot that puts an extra's poolside backside directly between our characters. Hey, you know, in real life, Don Knotts got serious groupies. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 2 1/2 * out of a possible 4 *.
