A tempting offer
Rrrobert15 November 2019
Murray is the least outwardly funny regular and usually provides solid support in a storyline focused on someone else. In this episode he is the lead and it is a good one.

Ted and Georgette try to match recently divorced friend Judith (Barbara Barrie) with Lou at one of Mary's parties. When they learn Lou is taken they leave Judith with Murray while they find someone else for her. But there's a strong attraction between Judith and Murray, and Murray is sorely tempted. He seeks advice from the others, which elicits much of the comedy.

Overall the main storyline is well acted. Gavin MacLeod is also quite a decent singer.

Murray the Romantic
Hitchcoc20 February 2017
Murray gets less screen time than the other regulars, so in this one, he featured. He goes to a party at Mary's. His wife never seems to attend anything (they would have to pay her). While there, a recently divorced friend of Ted and Georgette's strikes up a conversation with Murray. They hit it off and he takes her home. The thing is that he doesn't tell her he is married. He is having a bit of a midlife crisis, and she is feeding his ego. Ted gives him this speech about the Minnesota Vikings that is absolutely hilarious. It involves how much fun it is when they play the Packers, but they don't want to play just the Packers. There's the Bears, the Chiefs, the Oilers.

A compromising situation handled with tact.

Warning: Spoilers
Mild-mannered,(MARRIED)! Murray Slaughter is introduced, through his work-friends,to a lady selling a piano.(It seems Murray has recently been talking about buying a piano). The piano lady is a pretty divorced lady...and the sparks start between her and Murray! Much of the episode involves Murray trying to get 'permission' or a blessing from his work-friends to go visit the piano lady again when she asks him over. Funny episode !
