[Ted is pestering Lou about losing his cue card boy]
Lou Grant: What do you want, Ted?
Ted Baxter: It's about my cue card boy, Lou!
Lou Grant: Oh, yeah, that's right. Mary, hire somebody to do idiot cards for Ted.
Ted Baxter: Don't call them "idiot cards." I resent that. They're called "cue cards."
Lou Grant: Uh-huh. I'm - I'm sorry, Ted. Mary, hire somebody to do cue cards for the idiot.

Recipe for Disaster
Lou has had all kinds of trouble with his house. The roof. The plumbing. Mary makes the mistake of saying, "Why don't you sell it?" Lou immediately agrees. Now he will need a place to live. Well, remember Rhoda? She had that apartment by Mary. Guess which apartment is available for rent. So Lou moves in and begins to make it hell for Mary. He is so insensitive, he never has an inkling of how pushy and obnoxious he is. Mary does everything she can to dissuade him, knowing how awful it would be to have him as a neighbor. It gets pretty funny when Mary brings a date home and Lou is sleeping on the couch. Not only that. When the boyfriend wakes him, Lou slugs him. There is also some funny stuff with Ted. Because Lou is mad at Mary, he tells Ted his right about something. What ensues is hilarious. Very good episode.
