Christopher Maher: Achmed al-Mourek

Quotes

  • Achmed al-Mourek : [Lavender, Danny, and Casey watch a video recording]  This is Achmed al-Mourek, head of the International Arab Army. Greetings in the name of Allah to the President of the United States. Almost a year has passed since you took eight of my heroic soldiers prisoners for the execution of a traitor to Islam.

Mr. Lavender : His soldiers murdered five delegates to the U.N. in cold blood.

Achmed al-Mourek : To rectify this injustice, I have seized the Amer-Kuwaiti oil field, and twelve of your countrymen as hostages. As you can see, Mr. President, both the cages and the oil fields are mined with high explosives. Any attempt to rescue or to deactivate the explosives will evoke the vengeance of Allah. The explosives are set to go off noon Wednesday unless I transmit a message from Allah himself. This message is known only to me and must be transmitted in my own voice with this instrument. Inshallah, Mr. President. Once my soldiers are released, I will give the world Allah's message, and set your people free. Inshallah, Mr. President.

Danny Doyle : Boy, would I like to get my hands on that fanatic! I'd get the message out of him.

Casey Collins : He'd die first.

Mr. Lavender : And up go the oil fields along with the hostages.

Danny Doyle : Gave himself a damn good life insurance policy.

Mr. Lavender : So good he can't be touched.

Casey Collins : Even though he's sitting right in the middle of Rome.

Mr. Lavender : Right where our tourists will be staying, so let's start recruiting our civilians.

  • Achmed al-Mourek : [answers ringing phone]  This is Mourek.

Halid : You were right, hamid. Lavender has just arrived in Rome.

    Achmed al-Mourek : KILL HIM!

  • Achmed al-Mourek : Your president sends a jackal to deal with a wolf.

Mr. Lavender : Something like that.
