This episode was written in the 1980s, at a time with a fair amount of anti-Vietnamise sentiment in America. Although "Matlock" seldom took on political issues, here they make an exception. Ben Matlock defends a Vietnamise immigrant accused of murdering a white racist. It was no surprise when he gets his client aquitted, finding out who the murderer was is more surprising. Overall one of the best episodes in the show's history.
