This is the series finale as aired back in 1995. It's out of order on the streaming service I'm watching it on, and 'The Heist" is last.
Cliff helps a friend out, a fellow lawyer that is being blackmailed. The mystery is complex, Cliff becomes the accused, and his friend Craig's blackmail is connected to a bigger plot.
In the meantime, Ben is getting ready for his 40-year class reunion. He was part of a barber quartet back in the day and has been asked to perform at the reunion. Unfortunately for Ben, he can't fit into his old quartet outfit. Fortunately for us, this elicits a lot of laughs as Ben tries to lose weight. How funny was it, to see him try and lift weights and do situps? Lol. I laughed my head off. Later her gave his trainer the boot. Lol. Then he tries getting his outfit let out, which is hilarious because of the convo between him and his tailor.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this one, especially because of all the humour involving Ben. In the end, his little quartet sounded quite nice. Tho, he did rip his pants again. Lol. Ending with Ben's funny expression.
Overall I really love the series and the character of Ben Matlock. I think he's my favorite now out of all those old detective shows. It does have its lemons, which I may have written a review for. And there were plotholes. It's not a realistic depiction of how the court works. But it was entertaining and lighthearted. The character of Ben is absolute gold. And guess what? I will be going back right away and re-watching again. Maybe write some more episode reviews. 10/10.
