In the first few minutes, when Hudson and Saint James are seen crossing the street in front of a movie theatre, alert viewers may spot a familiar automobile parked in the background. It's the distinctive 1959 Peugot Grand Luxe convertible that would later become famous as the run-down car frequently driven by Peter Falk in his hit series Columbo.
The episode was inspired by the real-life composer Peter Warlock, the alter ego of music critic Philip Heseltine.
