When Joe E. Ross as the doorman tells MacMillan that friends of John Wayne called him Duke, MacMillan replies that he's heard that before. Just two years earlier Rock Hudson co-starred with the Duke in The Undefeated (1969).
June Havoc's fancy apartment, including the powder blue living room with a balcony, was a set originally constructed for an early episode of Night Gallery entitled "Eyes," in which Joan Crawford played a wealthy woman willing to pay a fortune for an operation which could restore her sight, but only for a few hours. It is best remembered for being one of the first directorial efforts of an up-and-coming talent named...Steven Spielberg.
