Sex Education Primer
dougdoepke12 December 2014
Niccholas is a hard working, devout Greek immigrant. Trouble is he and his newly-wed wife can't seem to conceive, so they go to a doctor. The episode includes a very explicit little medical explanation of how conception works biologically. Needless to say, this sort of delicate topic seldom if ever turned up on TV or movies of the time. It probably would work as a brief sex education primer, which is likely the level the producers intended. The story itself is pretty unexceptional. Unfortunately, Niccholas thinks his manhood is lacking so he suffers a self-image problem. All in all, the entry's most notable for its educational value. I expect the religious opening was to assure wary home viewers that the subject would be handled in a tasteful manner.
