An astronaut who stepped out through an airlock in the rotating outer wheel of a space station would not, as described in narration and shown on camera, drift "weightless" alongside the airlock. They would in fact move away from the station along a straight line, just as a rock released from a spinning sling would do.
During a voice-over narration, it is mentioned that the space station rotates once in two hours. The mock-up shown in the establishing shots, if to scale, would be rotating much faster.
