Near the beginning of this story, Mama Annis dies of an allergic attack, purposely brought on by chauffeur Harry Brind. When butler Owen Oliver enters the room occupied by Mama Annis and Harry Brind, he is told by Brind, 'She's dead.' Mama Annis is lying on the bed and is clearly seen breathing twice.
During close ups of Ellen and others with their backs to the mantle with the large mirror, crew equipment can be seen moving at the top of the mirror. In medium shots, the equipment is not visible.
