Fred : It's no use, gang. The battery's dead.
Scooby-Doo : [gulps] D-d-dead?
Shaggy : W-would you care to rephrase that?
Velma : But it's dark. We could be stranded here all night.
Daphne : Velma, you're always so negative. Why can't you be more positive?
Velma : All right. I'm positive we'll be stranded here all night.

[someone taps his shoulder; he and Scooby turn to see Lurch towering behind them]

Shaggy : I certainly do. You can catch me.
[faints into Lurch's arms; Scooby panics and burrows away]
Fred : [feels the ground shaking] Hey! What's going on?
[the ground beneath him and the girls rises slightly; Scooby pops his head out and gulps]
Lurch : Follow me.
Daphne : Of course.
Fred : Right.
Velma : W-whatever you say.
[Lurch reaches into the hole and pulls Scooby out; Scooby yelps as Lurch holds him up by the collar]
Lurch : You too.
[Scooby gulps]
