When Sandra and Donald are sitting in the pub discussing the reason for the testing of her men, with the camera cutting back and forth between them, his pint has foam on top when the camera is on him, and none in the reverse angle shots of Paula.
Deputy Commissioner Bob Mullan tells the group that Martin Lombard had setup a mobile phone call to his solicitor who recorded the whole conversation whilst the team were trying to pressure him into a confession. The recording included the time when Lombard and Jack Halford were locked inside the shipping container. A mobile phone will not work inside a sealed shipping container as the steel walls will block the radio signals.
Ep.#1.6: Mullan is referred to as an Assistant Deputy Commissioner. No such rank exists in the Metropolitan Police. He wears the rank insignia of a Deputy Assistant Commissioner.
No in-episode explanation is ever given for how the initial fraud was able to point Jack to the unsolved crime (clearly he had read about the case before Jack's arrival, which also explains his obstinate refusal to assist Sandra - he knew she was not the victim's sister) leaving the impression of genuine psychic powers.
