Mrs. Bowen, a little old lady who lives alone in a cottage, is happily tending her garden when she is accosted by the head of Saunders Construction Co. Mr. Saunders wants to buy her house in order to acquire the land on which to build a factory. His employees have struck out with in their negotiations with her, and he is no more successful convincing her to sell. Mrs. Bowen is enamored of her garden, telling the tycoon that she can make anything grow. Her "green thumb" is so potent, she even made a piece of kindling thrive. Mrs. Bowen point-blank refuses to sell her cottage at any price as her home and garden are "her whole life." Not to be denied, Saunders decides he will get her off the land by any means necessary. He hires a tough to get rid of her. Soon we see the tough approach the house and subsequently hear a scream from Mrs. Bowen. After the police arrive, they find Mrs. Bowen out in her garden planting something rather unusual. It it something which will revenge the wronged woman.
