- With the threat of the restaurant being closed down, Joe desperately tries to prevent the sale, but Kathleen is refusing to back down. Incredibly, Charlie continues to wallow in self-pity by blaming himself for ending his relationship with Kathleen that has led to her turning against him and having the restaurant being closed. Joe, Bailey, Julia, and Claudia continue to give Charlie a very hard time, and continue to absurdly think that it's ALL of Charlie's fault for losing the restaurant because he became romantically involved with a wealthy and powerfully connected, but psychotic and vindictive, woman like Kathleen in the first place. Seeking solace, Charlie goes to see if he can reconcile which Kirsten who tells him that she is going to marry someone else which leads to Charlie to try to win back her affections at her pre-wedding party. After some tense moments, Bailey realizes that Sarah may not be the one for him and breaks up with her over her attraction to Matt. But Will figures out that Bailey is still emotionally fragile from his parents death that he is determined to move away to college and sever all ties to the family in order to get out of the pain he's feeling. Meanwhile, Julia and Justin finally decide to break up over their irreconcilable differences. Claudia reacts coldly towards Jody over her outgoing ways and refuses to hang out with her anymore, leading Claudia to realize that she's given up too much and decides to start playing the violin again with tutoring from Ross. In a desperate attempt to keep the restaurant from going out of business, Charlie contacts Grandpa Jake Gordon for help. Grandpa Jake later approaches Bailey and leaves him with a big choice: they can either use his money to buy out Kathleen's investment group to save the restaurant... or use the money to send Bailey to college.—Anonymous
