(At about 3:00) When the racecar swerves off the track, a couple of shots show a different vehicle (notably bearing a number "4") crashing into a creek.
The racecar that rolls down the embankment is labeled with the number "4" and thus is not the same car that Vincent Danielli took off in and raced. His car was unnumbered.
The crumpled/torn check to Danielli has no account number or name on it; only the hand-written check number and the name of the bank.
When Mason is asking a few questions of Mooney, Mooney says he found something on the floor in Danielli's empty room and shows Mason a crumpled-up check (in one piece) written by Townley for $1000 to Danielli. Later, Mason and Drake are questioning Townley about the check and several times the check was referred to by all involved as having been torn up.
Update: When Mooney shows Mason the check, you can clearly see that the check has a tear in it, and the reflection of the tape that has been used to tape it together. So, the check was torn up.

The crumpled-up check that Mooney shows Mason has a zigzag tear between its left and right halves. It looks like someone sloppily reattached the two halves, perhaps with tape on the check's back.
Update: when you look closely at the check, you can see the piece of tape used to put the check back together. It looks like the tape was put over the front of the check because the edge of the tape is visible along the right side.

When Perry, Walter, Kirby, and Lt. Anderson are at Horseshoe Curve, there is bright sunlight coming from the right of Anderson and Kirby, causing deep shadows on the left side of their faces. But the two-shots of Perry and Walter, who are facing the other two, are perfectly lighted with soft shadows on their clothing. Obviously, the two-shots of Perry and Walter were filmed in the studio while the two-shots of Anderson and Kirby were filmed outside.
