When Paul meets the rental agent for ABC Sporting goods about the lease, the agent says the lease is for 134 square feet. That would be a room less than 12' x 12'. Yet when they open the door and go in the office, the area is at least twice that size and might have additional rooms besides.
Perry's client, Ward, shows up at David's apartment and David calls Perry to advise him. When the phone rings in Perry's office, Della takes the call. Perry is in his office with Della, Paul and Casey, Ward's girlfriend. When Perry seems surprised that Ward is there, David says, "Well, I held off until Gertie said you were alone." Perry is very much not alone, and Casey is on the extension phone while Perry is on his phone when Ward gets on the phone at David's to speak.
At or about the 37-minute mark, the lab technician (John Harmon) testifies on the stand that two fingerprints - a thumbprint and an index fingerprint - were lifted from the dumbbell presumed to have been the murder weapon. Without having witnessed the proceedings, one can ID fingerprints; but by no known means could the technician firmly state which prints had been made by any finger.
Once the Technician had the prints of a suspect, then they could match certain fingers to prints lifted.
Under oath in court, the lab technician testified that only the defendant's (Ward Nichols) prints were found on the broken whiskey bottle, yet viewers witnessed that both Buzz Farrell & Bernard Daniels had handled it. Daniels, however, had his ball-playing gloves on when handling the bottle.
