Warning: Spoilers
In the summer of 1982, I.T.V. put out a season of archive programmes entitled 'Best Of British' as an alternative to sports coverage which had fallen through at the last minute. It felt great to once more be watching the likes of 'Upstairs Downstairs', 'Bless This House', 'The Persuaders!' and 'The Prisoner' and so many others, many of which had not been seen in literally years. 'The Honour Of The School' was selected to represent 'Please Sir!'.

As 5C prepares for a cross-country run against Weaver Street, Duffy is trying to sell a camera as he wants money to take Sharon to Majorca. Hedges gives him £10 because Duffy tells him he wants to use the money to buy new technical drawing instruments. At a nearby pub, Hedges is put out when a posh man named Kelp ( Terence Alexander ) starts openly fancying Penny. Kelp challenges him to a game of golf, the winner to get £30. Hedges accepts, even though he has not played the game in four years, and was not very good then. 5C decides to help out...

A good episode, and the ratings must have been okay in 1982 because a few years later repeats appeared on Saturday afternoons. The late Terence Alexander is best remembered for his role as 'Charlie Hungerford' in 'Bergerac'.

Spot The Mistake - when Craven is talking to Duffy in the corridor, he calls him 'Peter' which was the name of his own character!

Funniest moment - Sharon asks Mr.Hedges if he can listen to her problem. He says he always has time for his pupils' problems. She then says: "Its about virginity!, and he nearly faints!
