Rimmer tries to advance his career whilst Lister, Cat, Kryten and Kochanski face charges.
This one continues the story reasonably well and has some decent sci-fi concepts but the comedy mostly doesn't work for me.
I think the idea of the characters being back in Red Dwarf with all the knowledge they have is a great idea and enjoyed the idea of Rimmer using that for his own gain. This would make for a very engaging story if it wasn't played so much for laughs, but I understand that it's a comedy. Unfortunately, as the humour doesn't really hit the mark for me, so it feels overall like a wasted opportunity.
For me the Rimmer scenes with the excess saluting and sexual magnetism virus were not particularly funny, neither were the 'Dibbley' family scenes. However, viewers who enjoy these may rate the episode highly as comedy is really in the eye of the beholder.
All actors give good performances and the balance is definitely right with characters again. Danny-John Jules and Chris Barrie do well with the material they are given.
