When Manolo uses his bolas to capture the calf, the bolas wraps the calf's hind legs. No other bolas are present. When Manolo is removing the bolas and releasing the calf, the front legs are also tied together (apparently to keep the calf down for the scene).
Juan throws his bolos at a calf and ties the back legs of the calf, but when Juan and Mark approach the calf the front legs are tied as well.
Manolo incorrectly tells Ned Dunnell to leave by saying "vamos" in Spanish which means "we go." He should have said "usted va" which means "you go."
At the opening of the episode, Mark is asking his father for his own rifle, "even a .22." The .22 cartridge was not invented until 1887, yet the cabin plaque says their cabin was rebuilt by father and son in 1881.
Unless Mark rebuilt the cabin as an infant it is unlikely he would ever have even seen a .22 at age 10.
