While Caesar is being murdered, Servilia hosts Atia and Octavian in her home, giving them the news of the Republic's restoration in person. Octavian was not in Rome at this time, having been sent to Apollonia, Illyria for military training, by Caesar.
There is a sulphur crested cockatoo at Vorenus's house. This bird is native to Australia and New Guinea and would not have been pets in Rome until at least the 1800's.
In the countryside, where Pullo kneels before a shrine, we see a herd of sheep leaping over a small brook a water trench. At least one of those sheep has a yellow number tag attached to the ear, which would not have been used in 1st century BCE.
When Pullo is seen by the physician in Rome, he says he has given him henbane for the pain. The term "henbane" was not in use until about 1265 CE.
