A corrupt cop steals some money
pkfloydmh19 October 2021
This one is about an aging and corrupt cop who steals some money from a warehouse sting.

Ned Beatty is really weak as Forest, the corrupt cop, as his character is unsympathetic, unlikable, annoying and stupid as he does everything from stealing money from a warehouse to getting drunk and starting a fight with a couple in a bar for no reason to holding Owens at gunpoint and then kidnapping him. I mean, are you kidding me? Kidnapping another police officer? Why? What does this accomplish? This guy is despicable and pathetic and it was great to see him get pummeled at the end by the hood he was chasing and by the guy in the bar that he started the fight with.

The real bright spot is Linda Marsh, who is terrific as Millie, the cop's wife. Every time she appears the episode improves as she looks and acts great and her character is really interesting too. She's the real standout here.

There are no hospital scenes and Jill is completely absent. Mike is also absent except for a very brief appearance in the final scene.

There are pretty good action scenes at the beginning and end but not much action in between.

This is not a great episode by any means but is still slightly better than average because of Linda Marsh's performance and is worth seeing just for that.
