Roseambo (#9.9)
ComedyFan201012 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The Connors are on a train trip with Dr. Bakshi when suddenly some terrorists come on the train and take it over. Roseanne calls the FBI who tell her to not to anything and wait but she doesn't follow the advice and fights the terrorists. At the end they all survive and Roseanne is a hero.

What did I just watch? Again one of the episodes that I hope will be kept to a minimum in this last season. The main issue with it is that we don't really get to see much of Connors being Connors and a lot of some useless story. The only good parts of this episodes were some things said by Connors, mainly Jackie when thinking she will die.

True Train Wreck
Greatornot16 July 2009
This had to be one of the worst , if not the worst episode of any TV show episode , in the history of sitcom episodes. Disguting. This was basically a train trip spoof and Roseanne is a parody of Rambo. The jokes were stupid and stale. It was not funny. It was unrealistic and just plain bad. Incidentally , this was a later episode , and it seems the cast did not mesh at all. Must have been running empty on ideas. Luckily John Goodman jumped off the train before this train wreck. Guest appearance by one of the worst actors of all time, Steven Seagall did not help this. In fact , if anything it made this episode even worse if thats possible. Probably tried to get the real Rambo, Sly. Guess they did not have the budget or even Sly decided this was beneath him.

Horrid

This is most definitely the worst episode every, and probably the worst episode in television history, and there have been some really lousy shows/episodes out there. The first two episodes of Season 9 were alright, be but the rest of the season is utter trash. I'd rather watch Roseanne sing the national anthem at a San Diego Padres game then watch this rubbish.

Utter garbage

Well, it's come to this. The worst episode in the worst season. Things started to dive in Season 8, but they reached new lows in series 9. And this episode in particular is awful. Poorly acted, poorly directed and not funny.

To be fair, this whole season stinks. No idea what the writers were thinking or why Roseanne thought it was the right direction for the show, Half the character are missing for most of the season and I think I know why. I would run from this crap too. Even Jacki isn't funny.

I won't ever need to watch this season again as it's too ridiculous. I can only imagine what the tenth season will bring, but it has to be better than this.

"Yes Roseanne, You Can Do An Episode Where Your Train Gets Hijacked and You Become Rambo"
gregberne1117 March 2019
What in the world was everyone thinking when they made this piece of toilet fudge? The writers actually wrote it, the network actually approved it, the cast actually got the script and said "ok yes we will do this and say these lines" and nobody on the crew or at any level ever stopped and said "you know what, this is the worst episode of any TV show ever made".....

This episode is obviously a practical joke where Roseanne deliberately made the worst possible show she could and spent all this money and laughed her way to the bank. I'm not kidding, I am 90% sure she knew the show was ending, John Goodman and other cast were leaving, all the story ideas were drying up, so she said "Screw it I'll just make one last terrible season and take my money and go home"....... think about it that's actually not a bad practical joke, spending other peoples' millions to make unwatchable TV shows, you cast people you want to meet all season (like Absolutely Fabulous, rich guests, etc), you take your money and go home and laugh about all the idiots watching your deliberately terrible show and reading the awful reviews.

That's the only explanation I can come up with. Either it's a profitable practical joke, or she only cared about the money so just made whatever crap they thought up first, or she simply went crazy years earlier than we all thought.

"Train Wreck" is the best way to describe this mess
willhowcoop10 December 2020
"Roseanne" moved the furthest from its honest, working class roots with this godawful episode, arguably the worst of its (original) nine-season run. The final season's lottery storyline already yielded one proposterous episode after another; this unfunny action-movie spoof was the most ridiculous of all. Any subject can be made funny and intriguing with good writing and performances; if Roseanne (the actress) wanted to pursue the idea of The Conners becoming suddenly wealthy, then this final season was a stunningly wrongheaded missed opportunity. This episode is the best example of how far off course this show became in its final year. An infuriating, perplexing, and downright sad ending to one of the greatest sitcoms of its era.

Year is 2019. I am so glad 1996 and this episode is long time gone. Worst of the worst. From story to acting. Show for peasants.

Best episode of Roseanne ever!
padme999023 April 2013
this is funny witty and all over the best! Roseanne is at her best in this episode i was laughing up a storm! i loved the part with the music where she dresses up and said this time its personal because we all know it was! i would not give this 10 stars it needs 20 of them two thumbs up way up into the Love of Roseanne and this is about her love of American people and how she is very all perfect for the job of saving her family of a curly haired Missy two brains and a brown eyed demon named Jackie wow i don't even know how to tell you how good this episode is i loved it when that Arab guy was like in the hot pink outfit and yelling at her and she stole it from him and she raked out making Coffey out those guns down and don't make me pull you over "check please" best line ever

A self-ode to Roseanne?
Tyanneh28 September 2021
This sitcom is basically older than I, but it caught my interest as a very sincere depiction of working class in the 80s and 90s. I decided to watch it despite the whole Roseanne controversy. So far it was enjoyable but it lost what made it special around season 8. Since then it's been getting worse and worse and this episode was just plain garbage. I imagine Roseanne got more and more power regarding executive decisions on the show and this is how it ended. I recommend skipping the episode if you want to get to the end of this season, because it might be extremely hard not to jump the ship after watching Roseanne as ridiculous vigilante.
