The estate-turned-hotel is supposedly a prime location for filmmakers and tourist attraction for film buffs. Among the hypothetical films the episode's two avid fans mention as having been filmed there are "Slaughter of the Concubines" with Vernon Sewell and Kay Kendall, "The Body in the Cellar" with Hazel Court and James Booth, Peter Cushing in "Pride and Prejudice," Dennis Price and Cecil Parker in "Dance of the Spider Woman," and Wilfrid Brambell in "A Christmas Carol."
The film fan referring to the house as having been everything from Dracula's Castle to the Winter Palace refers to the back-to-back use in 1966 of Down Place at Bray Studios for Dracula: Prince of Darkness and Rasputin: The Mad Monk.
