The first scene is a hilarious commercial for the orange drink Taing, Martin Short does a spot on impression of Robin Williams, who instead of talking about the product runs around the set doing manic comedy bits.
The show's running gag is introduced when Eugene Levy as Phil of Phil's Nails talks about small businesses advertising on SCTV. Mrs Prickley explains that she wants small business people to write in to do their own commercials. We later see John Candy as a guy with towel dispensers, Andrea Martin as a neurotic girl plugging her depressing poems and Joe Flaherty as a guy offering rides home for drunks.
Brock Linehan has a special about a child star named Rusty Van Reddick and his long running (29 years!) sitcom Oh That Rusty. It's a very funny sketch with Short in the Rusty role. Rusty is now in his 40s and fat but still doing the same schtick in his show.
There are two quick promos-a female cop show with Andrea and Mary Charlotte Wilcox called Koffler and Meltzer (like Starsky and Hutch but with chicks). Steve Roman has a Valentine special where he tries to sing and do vaudeville type comedy but fails badly.
Vic Hedges appears in a 1960 B&W crime show called Vic Arpeggio Private Investigator. It's an obvious spoof of the show Johnny Staccato about the private eye who was also a jazz pianist. Here Arpeggio is a saxophonist, he constantly talks in musical terms.
Sammy Maudlin has a funny show (still without William B.) with guests Sandler and Young (Short and Levy) an outdated lounge act and even Maudlin thinks they bring the show down. Pavoratti then guests singing an aria and falling through the floor.
The Days Of The Week has some funny scenes. Wainwright is nervous about being fingered by Rocco and yells at Dr Sabian. The funniest scene is Mojo hoping for a romantic dinner with Billy but she only ends up kissing his photograph. Billy visits Rocco in his jail cell.
Candy plays a German house builder with a vicious doberman.
The last scene is Philosophers At Work where they argue over The Flintstones.
