This episode is very similar to that of another iconic ITC series, Danger Man (known in the States as) Parallel Lines Sometimes Meet (1965); It also was about Haiti and Voodoo, and featured dancing and choreography by Boscoe Holder, (who's Geoffrey Holder's brother), as well as the deep-voiced, magnetic personality of Christopher Carlos (who was a museum director, centred on the island nation's history of Voodoo, as well as it's otherworldly powers).
In Roger Moore's first appearance as James Bond, in the film, Live and Let Die (1973), the plot was also centred on Voodoo, and appearing in it (in a very dramatic appearance as Baron Samedi), was Geoffrey Holder, who's the brother of Boscoe Holder, who s featured in this episode, as well as the choreographer of the Voodoo rituals.
The plane landing sequence at about 25 minutes, is identical to the opening of S3E19: The Golden Frog.
