Originally, Mango's wife was to be played by Monica Lewinsky, but host Cuba Gooding Jr. objected to this. So the part went to Molly Shannon (who had often played Lewinsky on the show before).
In the book "Live from New York - an uncensored history of Saturday Night Live", James Downey recounts that he was surprised when Monica Lewinsky was booked to appear on the show. He wrote a couple of sketches that reflected his negative feelings about her, neither of which got on the air. One of these involved her winning a 'Presidential knee-pads' award and would have consisted of her standing next to Jimmy Fallon (playing Kenny G) while a voice-over explained the history of the knee-pads.
