One Of The Best Episodes
This is a great one, many laughs and classic sketches.
It begins with "Library Police" with book thief John Candy being raided by gun toting library cops Eugene Levy and Dave Thomas.
Next is a hilarious exercise show "Exorcising with Regan Blair. Catherine O'Hara is the possessed girl who goes in and out with her demon and childlike voices while she shows us neck exercises as her head turns all the way around.
A very funny SCTV news segment has Earl having his son Earl Jr fill in for Floyd when he goes out for coffee. The kid is played by Donald Cowper and he is very good, he shows in later sketches as well.
There is a commercial for imitation chicken loaf with Andrea Martin as the mom.
Another classic sketch is the 25th Anniversary Show of "Leave It To Beaver". John Candy plays a grown up Beaver on welfare. Dave Thomas plays a closeted gay Eddie Haskell. Mrs Cleaver (O'Hara) is having an affair, Mr Cleaver (Flaherty) is a drunk and Wally (Levy) has been divorced 4 times.
Next a commercial for Dish Laundry as Andrea and Catherine put their dirty dishes in a washing machine.
There is a funny PSA about Children On Booze, Cowper is back as a little kid getting drunk in bars and coming home to his parents plastered.
There is a martial arts movie spoof with Lin Ye Tang using schtick fu , a fighting method using mostly Three Stooges jokes.
Candy does an early version of Dr Tongue, a children's TV host with some animals who end up attacking him and his sidekick Swami (Harold Ramis).
There is a commercial for a board game called "Family Detective"
The last scene is Dialing For Dollars with Moe Green calling a Mrs Green who he says is no relation. She wins the money as the credits roll.
