Acceptable Domestic Adventure for Steve
hypestyle15 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The plot involves smuggled technology that is important to the OSI. Steve goes undercover as a longshoreman at a seaside warehouse operation to find the items and stop the smugglers. In the meanwhile, he stays at a boarding house run by a local widow. Steve befriends the owner's young son, who has a broken bicycle.

Popular child actor Rodney Allen Rippey is in this. He had lots of work in the 1970s and was something of a pioneer among African American youth actors.

The interaction between Steve and the kid are essential to this episode. A subplot about "spirits" fixing a broken bike and threats from a local buddy ring a little dated nowadays. But the episode overall is fairly inoffensive.

Michael Conrad has a role as a heavy in this episode. Genre fans will recognize him.

Blue flash

Steve searches for a missing OSI agent who was about to close an investigation into the theft of hi-tech microchips. After Steve takes a room at the boarding house where the agent had been staying. Its owner soon disappears, leaving Steve to discover if the disappearances are related.

Rather routine episode, there's nothing that stands out, though the warehouse setting, forklifts and all, a sensor fitted in Austin's hand and Austin bonding with the boy makes this a little interesting. Austin shows a little heart and fixes the boy's bike and even rescues his mother from her kidnappers. Usual slow mo fight at the end.
