He tries to carry out his scheme by stabbing Junior in the hospital, but is quickly tackled by attendants when he drops his knife. After Tony uses his influence to get Anthony released, the son brings up the father's admiration for Michael Corleone's avenging the attempt on his father's life, to which Tony advises Anthony to remember the difference between movies and reality. Later, Tony takes an interest in a real estate agent named Julianna. Meanwhile, Vito is adjusting to life in New Hampshire, where he has strikes up a friendship with a diner owner named Jim. He still has problems accepting the truth about himself, however, and reacts violently when Jim returns his affections.
