South Park the Hits: Volume 1 "The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers" (Season 6, 2002)
A "kids being kids" episode, as Trey and Matt always remarks, so we watch the kids after watching and loving The Lord of the Rings pictures so this time is not Cartman, Stan and Kyle but the wizard, the ranger and the paladin. Is hilarious that scene in which the young heroes arrives to Clyde's house to talk with the high elf of Faragon so Clyde appears and seconds later there you have the high elf of Faragon. After this there's a meeting of all the Lord of the Rings kids (check the kid with the storm trooper helmet!) since apparently the videotape of The Lord of the Rings that the ranger's dad rented hold an evil power. First the mission for the wizard, the ranger and the paladin was easy, it just consisted in bringing that videotape to Butters, who was eager for watching finally The Lord of the Rings, but later they had a new and also easy mission that consisted in bringing the tape back to the ranger's parents. However our heroes quickly sees how this videotape make people act in a bizarre and desperate way, the videotape is the precious, Butters is Gollum, the 6th graders and the parents complement the ones that really want that videotape. But why they want particularly that videotape of The Lord of the Rings specially if the DVD with 12 hours of extra footage is available? Well, the heroes will try to find the reason and who's the one who will make the "sacrifice" for the rest by watching the "evil" videotape? Of course Talingharr the Black and is just great his reaction, practically whatever he saw made him stop playing to be once again Token and certainly the rest of the kids could confirmed what they were thinking so now there's only one alternative: return the videotape to the store! Is not an easy mission, certainly not indicated for one single kid, specially if he is a kindergarten dwarf, so the ranger, the wizard, the dwarf, the cleric, the warrior, the Jew and Kenny's soul will be the fellowship of the ring. Even with the expected problems (see the cleric trying to be like Gandalf!) the kids could return the evil tape and nobody but Butters and Token watched it so everything is fine, even for Butters finally with his precious, but as soon as the parents arrives
The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers (great title by the way) is definitely one of my all time favourites so certainly highly re-watchable so if you haven't watched it why are you waiting?
