During the scene in the chapel, Dr Auschlander sets down the newspaper with the story of his friend's passing and plays a few chords on the organ. Dr Axelrod walks to him, then when attempting to comfort him lets out an inappropriate giggle. When Auschlander looks up, Axelrod points to the paper, which had been folded over to a cartoon. Auschlander breaks a little smile. The cartoon was new then, but since became very much a classic.
