This episode begins at a undertaker's business in a small town out west. A man, Mingo, asks the undertaker if he can get a tombstone marker made and then have it shipped out. We will learn that the tombstone marker is for Luke Perry and the date of death is three days away.

In Timberline, Luke enters the saloon and finds an old friend named Jenny belting out tunes to the locals. It seems that years ago Jenny was working for Mingo in another town and thought Jenny was his girl. However, Jenny wanted no part of him and with the help of Luke was able to escape the clutches of Mingo and go on with her life. Mingo swore that he was going to find Jenny and also see to it that Luke is killed and he will buy the marker.

When Jenny finds out that Mingo is after her, she asks Luke for help. Luke takes Jenny out to half-way house where she will be hard to find and she can help Zeke cook for the customers. Jenny agrees but with some rough action, Mingo finds out where Luke is located and guesses that Jenny will be close-by.

For the last show of this short lived series, we get a story that is enjoyable for the viewers. Ruta Lee does a nice job of playing Jenny and also we get to hear her beautiful voice as she sings early in the production. Even though the series comes to an end, there is no indication that the was to be the last completed episode. It appeared that this series had some more entertaining stories still left to be done.

The Marker

Stagecoach West signs off with its last ever episode.

Luke Perry better watch out. Someone has ordered a tombstone marker with his name on it.

Some years ago. Luke helped saloon singer Jenny Forbes escape from a man called Mingo.

Well Mingo has been sore over losing his girl and wants Luke to pay a heavy price.

Mingo is not a man to undertake an endeavour without doing his research. He makes sure that both Luke Perry and Simon Kane are outnumbered.

Mort Mills is certainly mean and ruthless as Mingo. It seems at one point that there is no way out for Luke.

It culminates in a fierce knife fight and a hint of romance for Luke and Jenny.

It was a strong end to the series which at times was just too formulaic.
