- Dr. Daniel Jackson: We've been up against some pretty bad guys before.
- Major General Jack O'Neill: Uhhh... not so pretty. Overdressed yes.
- [Daniel is studying the book of Origin]
- Vala Mal Doran: Tell you what. Why don't you flip to the end and see how it all turns out?
- Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: [Flying an F-302] Yeah, man. This is good. Still a rush.
- Major General Jack O'Neill: Yeah.
- Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: I don't know why I didn't get back on the horse sooner, except I really didn't think you could take one of these things for a joy ride.
- Major General Jack O'Neill: Now, see, that's one of the great things about being a general. You pretty much get to do whatever you want.
- Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: Well, I suppose after you've saved the world seven or eight times.
- Major General Jack O'Neill: Who's counting, huh?
- Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: Teal'c. Actually, he mentions it quite often.
- Dr. Daniel Jackson: [Daniel Jackson is seated at a table examining a book and looks up] What the hell are you doing here?
- Major General Jack O'Neill: Well, it's nice to see you too.
- Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: So how do we fight these guys? And I mean the message as much as the men. A lot of folks out there are going to buy what these guys are selling.
- Teal'c: Hopefully now many have been educated to the ways of false gods.
- Vala Mal Doran: Yes, but we're not talking about humans with snakes in their heads with a slightly better understanding of technology.
- Major General Hank Landry: George Washington, one of our country's founding fathers and first president, once said: "True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."
- Gerak: The First Prime of Horus, Karrok of the High Plains, once said: "There is more honor in dying at the hands of a brother than there is killing a would-be friend."
- Major General Hank Landry: He was a wise man.
- Gerak: He was killed shortly after losing one of the greatest battles in history.
- Major General Hank Landry: Oh. Well, I hope it wasn't his brother that shot him.
- Gerak: It was me. The Jaffa was a fool in every respect. He did not deserve an honorable death.
- Dr. Daniel Jackson: The Ori seem to think that our Ancients are evil because they haven't shared the secrets of the universe with us.
- Vala Mal Doran: Well I hate secrets, at least the ones I don't know.
- Ori Prior #2: Origin will guide you on this path. And those who revere its wisdom shall be uplifted. I have come to spread the word to the unbelievers who have been sheltered and raised by evil.
- Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: [softly] You have no idea how much he sounds like my Grandma.
- Dr. Daniel Jackson: [Discussing their ability to deal with the threat of the Ori] I don't think I would admit this to anyone else, but I'm scared.
- Major General Jack O'Neill: I'm hungry!
