- SG-1 finds a Goa'uld-Human hybrid in stasis in an abandoned Goa'uld lab and take it back to Earth to study, where they learn it was created using Anubis' DNA.
- In an attempt to observe what may be an undiscovered black hole, Carter is sent to the wrong planet. She returns with this information and begins diagnostics on the dialing computer. When they find that nothing is wrong on their end, Carter theorizes that the gate is keeping people out by redirecting them to a random planet. She cracks the code keeping them out and SG-1 goes to investigate the planet.—trekkie4christ
- After receiving information that a new black hole may be forming, Sam leads SG-5 on a mission to P3X584 to gather information on the phenomenon. They're soon back, however, as the gate, despite having dialed the correct address, delivered them to another planet. Sam determines that the gate has been programmed to deflect humans to another gate, but she soon overcomes that obstacle. When they investigate P3DX584 they find a laboratory with a human-like being in stasis. Mitchell re-animates him, much to Daniel's annoyance, and they take him back to the SGC infirmary. Daniel goes through the lab's computer and determines that the man they found, named Khalek, was made by Anubis from his own DNA. Daniel argues for his immediate destruction but is overruled when Richard Woolsey arrives, insisting that Khalek be studied, not destroyed.—garykmcd
- Sam and the SG-5 travel to a planet to observe a black hole that seems to be forming. However, they are sent to another planet. Sam finds that the stargate is programmed to send intruders to another stargate and fixes the problem. Soon, they discover a laboratory, and Mitchell accidentally activates a system that reanimates a man in stasis. They bring him to the SGC while Daniel researches and finds that the man is a prototype called Khalek and made from Anubis' DNA. Further, he is a danger to Earth and must be destroyed. But the government, represented by Richard Woolsey, does not agree.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Because of a stargate malfunction which sends SG-5 to the wrong planet, Sam discovers a doctored gate leading to a lab with a single adult humanoid in stasis. Daniel deciphers the Ancient writing: the man, Khalek, is a genetic prototype with the late system-lord Anubis's genetic memory. The committee refuses to have him eliminated, as the program didn't produce anything useful against the Ori for months. Further reading and studying at the lab show Khalek is a species cross with a Prior, artificially prepared through genetic modification for 'natural' ascension without the help of a censoring Ancient, as soon as he learns to control his already frightening powers - but first he needs one last lab treatment.—KGF Vissers
