Finding Charlton Heston in a psycho ward was not really all that surprising, but he does period pieces far better than modern roles. He is out of character for the most part. John Forsythe, on the other hand, is a nice fit for this situation, and is fascinating to watch; at least for a little while; But his efforts are not sufficient to save this overblown treatment of those suffering from psychological disorders, as we would see much better treatments in films like Captain Newman MD and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest years later. Another worthy try, but this episode is the third cigar, and in baseball analogy, would be considered to be a foul ball after getting two strikes. So the series is still alive at the plate. Looking forward to Episode 6 and onwards, which I will view tomorrow; I have binged enough for one day.
