Good end to the series.

Eric has mortgaged the house and cashed in the insurance policies, he's bought a greasy spoon, and convicted Hattie to work there, it's cost him £4500.

It's a somewhat surreal end to the first series, but it's a funny episode, definitely one of the more zany ones, but it does have some very funny scenes.

The main mystery, how and why is Eric now living a life of luxury, smoking fancy cigars, driving a new car, and employing a butler?

Lots of great scenes, Eric's early CCTV, the dumbwaiter and the moment where he and Hattie reveal themselves to the landlady, best of all though was Hattie's transformation from chic, French maid to bawdy waitress.

Slightly surreal, this was fun.

8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Eric tells Charles Brown a story about his recent foray into the catering business.

Eric had bought a roadside cafe from an uncouth woman who turned out to be aristocratic. It was something she was just doing for a bit of fun.

However Eric and Hattie's venture has hit the rocks. They have gone upmarket with a menu in French. The regulars have stayed away.

A confused Charles Brown asks Eric how has he managed to make so much money.

It is because Eric and Hattie decided to go downmarket with Hattie bringing in the punters because of her coarse language. Eric in usure whether he should continue with the venture and place her sister in such a position even though the cafe is doing a roaring business.

There was a good explanation as to why the soup tasted so bad and what Hattie used to do the washing.

There was a nice twist when Eric and Hattie go down to visit the new unrefined owner.
