Eric's in training for the Olympics.

Sykes is in training for the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Eric bets Charles that he can walk to Brighton, which is forty miles away, the bet is £20, Sykes fulfils it with pesetas and Schillings.

Quite an amusing episode, lots of slapstick and funny one liners, the best scenes coming when Hattie gets behind the wheel of the car, a car that doesn't look like it could do 40 metres, let alone 40 miles.

I'm enjoying the first series so far, I think you know what you're going to get, good old fashioned British humour.

I did enjoy Corky's appearance, the way he politely lambasted Hattie and took the Mickey out of Sykes, a funny start for him.

7/10.

Eric Sykes is in training for the Montreal Olympics in 1976.

He bets Charles Brown £20 that he could walk to Brighton which is over 40 miles. Eric's money for the bet consists of old currency, foreign money and IOUs.

Eric is confident, he has even been walking to the Labour Exchange and back.

An episode with plenty of silliness mainly due to Hattie following Eric in the car and she cannot really drive.

Corky makes his first appearance in the show as the policeman who writes down all the list of offences Hattie has created with her driving. She ends up in the back of a truck at one point.

Eric causes plenty of mayhem himself especially for the road line painter.
