There isn't much fake about it. Unlike the modern action filled shows, this classic stuff is much more believable and real! There isn't a huge struggle with a gun, allowing the bad guy to get the gun, etc. etc, etc. Instead, you see...and can feel...the evil that is going on. Melinda Curry, blind, running through a house, knocking things into her asulter's path. Then she runs into a room and locks it. The man doesn't just bang through the door...no...It takes some time to finally get inside. The woman doesn't just escape...she also works at getting out the window.
Does she make it? You'll have to watch to find out!
