  [puts his hand on Venus' shoulder] 

  Jason Realli : we... are automated! Just like NASA... first class across the board! Amanda, honey... why don't you let Venus see Max?

  Amanda Dean : Sure.

  [she raises volume on Max and opens screen, revealing large broadcast automation system, playing "The Same Thing" by Sly and the Family Stone] 

  Jason Realli : It's just like the Wizard of Oz...

  [laughs] 

  Jason Realli : Max is our disc jockey! 24 hours a day, plays all our music! You see, with you on the air every night, people will still think we're live. Amanda, honey, could you turn off...

  [she closes screen and lowers volume] 

  Jason Realli : Venus, there are already over 1500 automated stations in the country. Do you realize that if you buy your news from a national service, you could run an entire station with no people? No people, think of that one!

  [laughs, then gazes into space for a moment, as if realizing he too could be put out of work] 

  Jason Realli : It's an ugly thought, but... think of it.

  Venus Flytrap : [dejected]  So what do I do around here?

  Jason Realli : Not much. I mean the music is programmed out of New York, so all you have to do is go out and tape a couple of things, interviews and so on, so people will think it's still coming out of Cincinnati... and that's about it, it's perfect.
