When the cat's away the mice will play

"I'm Having Their Baby" is a title that recalls the 1974 duet between Paul Anka and Odia Coates, "(You're) Having My Baby." With Gabe away for a week at a teacher's conference, the Sweathogs, and Juan Epstein in particular, delight in terrorizing each substitute teacher, while tending to the newly pregnant Julie. Epstein tries to calm her fears: "you may not believe this but uh, all of our mothers have been pregnant!" Barbarino: "not my mother, she's a saint...one day she woke up and there I was!" Julie confides that expectant mothers have cravings and she craves privacy, much to the chagrin of the Sweathogs, who figure they can make it up to her with a surprise party. Fixing up the Kotter apartment results in a mess of hurricane-like proportions. One look at the bubbles surrounding the dirty dishes has Horshack crying that they're being invaded by Lawrence Welk!
