Raymond Berry was head coach of the New England Patriots from 1984 through 1989. Although he led his team to Super Bowl XX, his team was roundly defeated by their opponents, the Chicago Bears and it was considered, at the time, one of the most lopsided defeats in Super Bowl history. Berry acknowledged a weak defense, but he remained for Head Coach for another three seasons. He retired in 1989, his Colts number 82 was retired and he is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
