Tony leaves for his bowling evening disappointed as the team's best player had to cancel. Angela gets a pre-victory-cheerful send-off to the fancy Maddie awards ceremony, generally expected to win the greatest prize in advertising. But when they arrive, Tony carries a cup, she was just nominated. Jonathan practices for a perfect spelling bee performance, tirelessly. It takes all Tony's charm and persuasion to cool the family and convince Angela she must show class by attending the after-party gracefully. She agrees, but surprises him as unpleasantly as her winning rival appeals to him and surprises her.
