You've gotta watch this trailer for the upcoming action thriller Savage Dog, which features Scott Adkins (Doctor Strange, The Expendables II) kicking ass as he embarks on a mission for revenge.
The movie looks like it came straight out of the early 1990s, which is why I'm kind of looking forward to watching it. I've seen a few trailers for upcoming action films recently that reminded me of movies from the 90s. Are 90s-style action movies making a comeback!? Yeah, it looks like a very low-budget flick, but sometimes it's just fun to sit back, relax, and watch a fun movie like this. Here's the synopsis:
Indochina, 1959. A Wild West town controlled by the criminal class: Vietnamese warlords and European war criminals. The worst prison in the land, it is here that a European, former-champion boxer Martin Tilman (Scott Adkins) has made a name for himself fighting tournaments. When Tilman is due for release,...

Don “The Dragon” Wilson is no stranger to the world of martial arts. In four decades, The Dragon has won 47 fights by knockouts, won the world championship title eleven times, and is regarded as the best kickboxer in the sport. Aside from fighting, The Dragon holds a passion for acting, as well. He has been acting in films since 1982, including Bloodfist, Ring of Fire, and The Last Sentinel. I had the great opportunity to ask The Dragon about his acting and one of the more recent films he acted in, The Martial Arts Kid. Don, thanks so much for joining me for this interview. Ethan H. The Package
Stars: Steve Austin, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Keenleyside, Lochlyn Munro, Darren Shahlavi, Jerry Trimble | Written by Derek Kolstad | Directed by Jesse V. Johnson
In order to pay off his brother Eddie’s (Munro) debt to crime boss Big Doug (Keenleyside), nightclub bouncer Tommy (Steve Austin) works as the mobsters enforcer and hired muscle – collecting debts owed to Big Doug and roughing up those unable to pay. Then out of the blue, Big Doug offers Tommy an out: deliver a mysterious package to “The German” (Lundgren) and Eddie’s debt is paid up in full. Seemingly too good an offer to pass up, Tommy realises that it may be one job too many for him as he’s hunted across the country by relentless teams of hit men, mercenaries, assassins and sadists.

This was a banner year for Twitter-Wood Halloween costume photos. In fact, that's about all that anyone was posting in our feed last night, with Shaq showing up in drag, "Eclipse" actor BooBoo Stewart punching his mom and his co-star Jodelle Ferland getting suited up as Katniss Everdeen from Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games" books.
There were all kinds of couples costumes in the feed, too. Eliza Dushku played Lois Lane for Rick Fox, who went as Superman; Seth Green let his inner Harry Potter geek shine, and Ice-t got a little mad. Check out links to all the TwitPic posts after the jump.

The fact that Sylvester Stallone has an opinion about Brock Lesnar's Ufc match against Cain Velasquez shouldn't surprise you, which is more than can be said about the one man he said would be capable of taking Velasquez down.
Meanwhile, the younger faces in Twitter-Wood were all about their photos today and last night. Ariana Grande nabbed the elusive Justin Bieber for a pic, while BooBoo Stewart ran into someone you'll be seeing very soon for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1," and Conan O'Brien expressed some solidarity with Kristen Stewart. The "Red" premiere must have been a lively event, judging from the Twitter pics that showed up last night. "Eclipse" actor BooBoo Stewart grabbed a photo op with Morgan Freeman, as well as "Weird Al" Yankovic, who found Ernest Borgnine. Their picto-posts were accompanied by some slice of life scenes from Seth Green, Snoop Dogg and Milla Jovovich, which you'll also find below.
In trending current events topics, Steve Martin and Simon Pegg cracked some jokes but also sent sympathies out to the trapped Chilean Miners, Damon Lindelof threw a tweet in Brett Favre's face and David Silverman was glad the Internet seemed to like Banky's "Simpsons" intro.

On Wednesday, September 15th, the cast and crew of Universal Pictures’ upcoming thriller Devil were on hand at The London Hotel in West Hollywood to celebrate the release of the film in style on a jam-packed red carpet.
On hand to celebrate all things Devil were producer Sam Mercer, the directing duo of John Erick and Drew Dowdle, story originator and producer M. Night Shyamalan, screenplay writer Brian Nelson, special make-up effects creator Robert Hall, as well as the film’s stars including Bokeem Woodbine, Jenny O’Hara, Geoffrey Arend, Chris Messina, Matt Craven and Jacob Vargas. Unfortunately, Dread Central ran into a bit of technological issues with microphone failure right as the red carpet event started; however, we’ve got a gaggle of stills for you to feast your eyes on below.

"Eclipse" cleaned up at the Teen Choice Awards last night, and a few of the film's cast members tweeted highlights over the course of the night. Lots of other were sounding off, too, as the night went on, such as Miranda Cosgrove, Kim Kardashian and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who was just happy to have had some votes.

Writer/director Jesse V. Johnson first caught our attention when his post-apocalyptic actioner The Last Sentinel (starring Katee Sackhoff don't you know) ended up being better than expected. Now it looks like his gangster drama, the stylish Charlie Valentine is seeing limited release on April 28.
Synopsis:
The film chronicles the exploits of the title character, Charlie, played by Raymond J. Barry a career criminal intent on scoring one last big pay day. When his "perfect crime" goes bad, Charlie flees to Los Angeles to hide out with his estranged son, Danny, played by Michael Weatherly. What ensues reveals the true nature of some of the most unsavory of characters.
The trailer is effective and features some fantastic photography, music and acing by a largely older cast of made guys.
Trailer (via: trailer addict) after the break.

Remember back when we had "Twilight" faces showing up in the feed on a daily basis in Twitter-Wood? Well, they're all over the place doing things since "Eclipse" filmed and "New Moon" launched, and it's been a good two months since a TwitPic of Christian Serratos and Edi Gathegi showed up. But they reemerged today.
Lee Unkrich, meanwhile, has been a regular poster, showing off shots of the "Toy Story 3" cast as they've shown up to the studio to record. Yesterday, he got a visit from singer/songwriter Randy Newman, though, and he reports that a new song has been created -- presumably for the film. Make your own guesses and check out which "Hangover" actor is in a sling and which actor re-iterated that he's definitely returning for "Transformers 3" after the jump. It's all in Twitter-Wood for February 9, 2010.

Twitter-Wood had plenty to celebrate this weekend, with a mini "Full House" reunion between John Stamos and Candace Cameron to Brett Ratner's wrap on his new Mariah Carey video and Greg Mottola's pre-release praise for Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World."
Elsewhere, "Eclipse" actor BooBoo Stewart is still making his photography rounds, this time picking Hugh Jackman's nose -- and Wolverine looks shockingly comfortable with the pose. Check out those posts after the jump along with Steve Agee's porn benefit surprise and Alex Meraz's stolen jacket shocker. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for December 7, 2009.

Professional wrestling fans of Twitter-Wood turned out today with good vibes for former WWE star Umaga, who was reported to be in serious condition for unknown reasons at a Houston hospital today. Jeff Katz was among them, and I echo his sentiments.
Elsewhere in the Twitterverse, Edgar Wright finished up his director's cut of "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World." Jason Reitman thanked him for not competing with "Up in the Air," and writer Bryan Lee O'Malley congratulated him on the milestone. Director Kyle Newman was somewhat less congratulatory, meanwhile, in his tweet-outs to England looking ahead to the World Cup. Check out those tweets after the jump along with Kat Dennings' nevernude diagnosis of the "New Moon" werewolves, an "Eclipse" actor hanging out with David Caruso and much more in the Twitter-Wood report for December 4, 2009.

It comes as no surprise that supporting cast members in "New Moon" would try to splinter off their own factions in the endless "Team Edward vs. Team Jacob" debate, but it looks like BooBoo Stewart's got at least one backer for Team Seth, judging from his TwitPic upload today. Tinsel Korey, meanwhile, remains firmly behind Team Jacob.
In non-"Twilight" posting today, Danny DeVito had a nice showing for his birthday last night, even if his picture wasn't high enough quality to make Twitter Pic of the Day. Neil Patrick Harris posted a new shot from the "How I Met Your Mother Set" and David Wain contributed a courtside view from the Lakers game. Check out all of those after the jump where you'll also find out which actress enjoys dancing to Lady Gaga and which actor claims he's the only one who didn't audition for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Last night got busy in Twitter-Wood on a few fronts. Former "Remote Control" host Ken Ober's passing surprised a number of tweeters, including Brian Posehn and Jeff Katz, who both noted his loss.
L.A.'s Westwood village theatre, meanwhile, was epicenter for all of the "Twilight" Twitterverse during the "New Moon" premiere. BooBoo Stewart posted a pic from the red carpet, Rachelle Lefevre posted her reasons for missing the event, Brett Ratner was in attendance and Kevin Smith made a date out of the night with his daughter. You can check out what they had to say after the jump along with Twitter Pic pick that I selected more for its significance than its shock value, as Neil Patrick Harris officially moved into the Twitter-Wood neighborhood. It's all in the report for November 17, 2009.

Edward Woodward, the actor best remembered for his starring role in the TV series "The Equalizer" and his once-in-a-lifetime performance in the original pre-bees "Wicker Man," commanded a mountain of memorial tweets today. Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and even Seth Meyers posted memories and favorite performances amid the news of his passing, and I join them. If you haven't seen him in 1973's "The Wicker Man," you're missing out on one of the all-time great horror/musical productions.
There were "New Moon" tweets today, too, of course. Peter Facinelli spent his pre-premiere morning getting his driver's license renewed, while Tinsel Korey posted a pic from outside and BooBoo Stewart prepped at the gym. Check out their tweets after the jump along with a Twitter Pic of the Day starring Michael Jackson and an "Iron Man 2" note from Jon Favreau. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for November...

There must have been a "New Moon"-related tweet mandate out today, because the faces of "Twilight" clogged my Twitter feed today. David Slade posted an "Eclipse" update, Peter Facinelli TwitPic'd from his makeup chair and BooBoo Stewart posted a photo op moment with Latoya Jackson. Even Gil Birmingham contributed an off-screen group shot.
Candid pics showed up from non-"Twilight"-ers as well, though. Ken Jeong, Sarah Silverman and Eli Roth are all prominently features in today's tweet mix, in addition to Rainn Wilson on Bill Cosby and Mark Webber's on-set shot from his new movie "The Lie." It's a photo-heavy day full of links in the Twitter-Wood report for October 20, 2009.

Celebrities retweeting webcam pics of fans dressed as them may officially be a trend now, following yesterday's Fred Durst incident. Now Rainn Wilson has received a pic from a Dwight super-fan, and his shock defies language.
Tweets trickles in from all over Twitter-Wood throughout the rest of the day to remember wrestler and actor Captain Lou Albano, whom you may remember from pay-per-view events, as well as from "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" where he portrayed Mario. Read those rubber band memorials after jump along with Simon Pegg's reaction to the "Twilight" books, Shaquille O'Neal's mama joke to Ashton Kutcher and BooBoo Stewart's plans for Halloween. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for October 14, 2009.

Yesterday’s announcement about casting for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse brought the news that Boo Boo Stewart was to be the film’s Seth Clearwater might have been a surprise to some, but apparently not to everyone. He issued this YouTube video back in June when casting was still on-going, thanking those who helped him promote himself for the role and recapping his hope to become a part of the film. Stewart is no novice to acting, either. Birth named Nils Allen Stewart, Jr., Boo Boo Stewart has played in a great number of films, including The Last Sentinel and The Fifth Commandment, and he has also appeared on televisions programs such as ER and Everybody Hates Chris. Not only can Stewart act, but he has also been featured in several films and programs for stunt work, including Beowulf and Skeleton Man...

The neverending web of Twlight continues to be weaved:
New Moon hasn't even hit screens yet and Eclipse has already started filming, which means the final casting nibbles have been released. After Xavier Samuel as Riley and Bryce Dallas Howard as the new Victoria, Jack Huston grabbed Royce King II (Rosalie's evil human ex), the super-cute and creepy Jodelle Ferland grabbed Bree, and finally, we've got the wolfy Clearwaters. Vanessa Hudgens aside, the La Times reports that Julia Jones will play Leah, while BooBoo Stewart grabs Seth. Jones most recently played Dr. Kaya Montoya on ER, and the ridiculously named BooBoo (who will hopefully put aside the Boo soon) is an ex member of Disney's T Squad, and has popped up in recent films like The Last Sentinel.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter posts that the series' fan conventions are going on tour. Methinks they want all those fans to save...

The first trailer for Green Street 2: Stand Your Ground (sequel to the 2005 football hooliganism flick Green Street Hooligans which stared Elijah Wood) dropped a week back and somehow we missed it. Oddly enough, the only reason I found it at all is because it's being directed by Jesse V. Johnson who wrote the recent Pa actioner The Last Sentinel and I was looking for some info on his next film Charlie Valentine.
Following the deadly climax of "Green Street Hooligans," several members of the West Ham firm and numerous members of Millwall end up in jail. The Gse quickly discover the brutality of life on the inside, as they are constant targets of the superior numbers and better-financed Millwall crew. Football on the inside and out is followed fervently by the prisoners and wins and losses by both are quickly followed by punishment or reward. This could mean...
