A Mamie Van Doren vehicle
TheCloser1712 January 2019
This '50's bad/cool youth film features Mamie Van Doren and Eddie Cochran (who was in a band and eventually inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame), there is a lot of singing and dancing in the movie as well as some great bad acting. Joel and the bots have some good lines for some decent laughs, but overall I rate this an average MST3K episode.

"Your pants are on fire"

This was an earlier episode of "Mystery Science Theater 3000". It wasn't really until TV's Frank became a character that the show really started getting good. I actually still thought this was a great episode. I probably just love the show that much. We actually got to see Gypsy in the theater for the first time! I really like those gags they do where everything is coming out of her mouth. Yeah, it's cheap, but it's good for a quick visual laugh. She even manages to get another Tom Servo out of her mouth!

The actual movie didn't have as many good riffs as later episodes, but I still found lots of hilarious lines. One of my favorites was, "Hey, I found him! He's hiding behind those credits!". There were some great exchanges here too like "I didn't know she could sing" and "I still don't know if she can sing". I also loved, "Between you and the Moon..." with "I can't tell which is which". The bits with the doctor were great especially with, "I've got some bad news for you" followed by, "I'm not a real doctor". ***1/2
