This is another honorable mention and it's the last in the Hercules mini-series. And you can be rest assured you don't have to go though anymore "Deep Hurting" unless you count this entire film. This is probably number two in my books as this tone has plenty of memorable riffs.
One scene when Hercules is looking beyond a cliff, the camera for no apparent reason just pans right and looks at more mountain, as if trying to get stock footage for a travel ad. Crow says, "It's possible this is the stupidest part of this film." Yes, it is Crow, yes, it is.
Another scene Crow says something about Herc's son using a giant pencil as a weapon. A scene where one bad guy is about to be thrown into his doom, really like what the bots say like the pit being Chocolate or "I don't want to take a bath."
And of course, there is that fight with the mythological character the shapeshifter Protious which was done in a odd fashion, it's funny how they riff on each form of Protious Herc fights.
There are some good skits from the Hercules toy action figure the bots made that clearly needs work, it's funny when both cried at its defectiveness. One skit that's a favorite of mine was seeing Crow reading off a book on Hercules history. This is a verbal humor sketch but what I like about it is how Crow is clearly making it all up; the more ridiculous he makes the funnier it becomes. Strangely it also becomes more interesting, just like Joel and Servo I got invested the Crow's storytelling and wanted to know how much more ridiculous it was going to get.
And of course, there is the Hercules eulogy in the end which is probably the first and only non-sad eulogy ever. It's hilarious how the bots have nothing good to say about this film or each of the films in the series and instead are relieved and party down.
If I have anything to contribute to the eulogy, it's goodbye and good riddance. But that aside, this was the very last in the "Hercules" series and I felt it finished strong, I really enjoyed Joel and the Bots tearing these films up, so it's a little sad (I said a little) this is the end, but all good things come to an end; or should I say bad things considering these films.
