There are strains of a variation of the James Bond theme heard throughout this episode, Mildred even mentions all the action is just like a James Bond movie.
The producers knew they had a future Bond in their hands but imagine watching this knowing Brosnan did play Bond!
It helps that filming took place in Acapulco. Laura and Steele are in Acapulco after a dying man leaves a tuna stuffed with diamonds, wrapped in an Acapulco newspaper. In a bullring, a man following Laura claims to be a cop investigating a diamond smuggling ring.
Captain Rios is on Steele's tail but he is more interested in getting a finder's fees if he can retrieve the lost diamonds. Laura needs to get close to a Chicago crook and Mildred Krebs is determined to get Steele to pay his taxes but finds the adventure more exciting. It is just a shame that David Warner was rather wasted in this episode.
